Note 1: Foals born from frozen semen of deceased or retired ATA stallions will have their registration fees increased to the same registration fees charged for foals conceived by frozen semen imported from outside North America. Fees for foals conceived by imported frozen semen are currently $100 higher in each category. Mare owners that use frozen semen of deceased or retired ATA stallions need to pay particular note of this change and be aware of the increased registration fees that must accompany their registration applications.
If an owner/agent of frozen semen of a deceased or retired ATA stallion has already paid the yearly stallion breeding fee for the year that conception occurred, then the owners of these foals would pay the regular domestic registration fee.
