History:
Kolberg was approved at the 1973 Neumünster inspections. In 1975 he passed his performance test at Klosterhof Medingen. Kolberg stood for K. Schmitz in Germany from 1974 until 1978. In 1979 he was moved to Holland, standing there for the next 4 years. He was imported to Canada in 1984, standing first for Ranchland Recreation then later in 1990 for Painted Trak Farm. He remained with the Jarvies at Painted Trak farm for the rest of his life.
Comments from the German Trakehner Stud Book:
Large-framed, powerful, well-muscled, strong legs, but overall not very significant; back a little soft. Satisfactory mover. Due to an insect bite as a yearling on ear is bent over and unable to stand upright.
