History:
Donauglanz was approved at the 1978 Neumünster inspections then stood in Germany until February of 1980 when he was imported by Penmerryl Farm. He stood in Virginia at Penmerryl until the farm was sold in 1983, at which point he was purchased by Sandra Hawkins of Memphis, TN. He remained with Ms. Hawkins until 1989 when he was acquired by Cross Fields Farm and was moved to California, where he remained until his death from an inoperable colic in 1995. Donauglanz competed successfully in dressage through Fourth Level and in combined training through Preliminary.
Comments from German Trakehner Stallion Book:Good model of a breeding stallion, large frame, medium size, first class foreleg, good muscles, strong cannon bone, voluptuously muscled hindquarters. The walk could have longer strides, trot and canter are good in covering ground.
