This typey colt was a top foal at his inspection at Gestuet Haemelscheburg on June 5, 2005. He had the following notes: 8.5 8.0 8.5 / 8.0 9.0 8.0 / 8.5 (58.5) (type, conformation, legs / walk, trot, canter / overall impression (total score).
He is by the Champion Stallion Freudenfest, a grandson of Kostolany & of the Mahagony/Pasteur xx sire line. Freudenfest, with 4 approved sons so far (Shavalou, Godot, Oestpreusse & Hage's Best), is known for his offsprings' nice & easy temperament, good rideability & willingness to work under saddle.
His dam, the State & Verband Premium (dark bay) mare Schwalbenherz is by the TB Stallion Sir Shostakovich xx, who has established his own sire line in the Trakehner breed & is known to produce successful jumpers as well as dressage horses. He is the sire of the approved stallions Best Before Midnight, Chateauneuf, Donaumonarch & Sir Chamberlain, the grandsire of Houston & Tycoon, and the damsire of the approved stallion Heartbreaker by EH Hohenstein, among others.
Schwalbenherz' mare inspection notes are as follows: 8 8 8 / 7 8 8 / 8 (57). She was a successful sport horse under Stefanie Kronenberg in all 3 disciplines (dressage, jumping & eventing) up to Class L, before retiring to broodmare duties.
Schwalbenherz' dam Schamar by Enrico Caruso, bred by Otto Langels, is a full sister to the famous Haemelschenburg mare, the late Schwalbenlust, who was pinned with many ribbons & awards, and the dam of the Elite mare Schwalbenspiel, the grand dam of the Champion Stallion Songline & the Premium Stallion Shavalou. Schamar was a successful riding horse as a 4-yr old & as a 5 & 6-yr old, she had many wins in Jumping classes up to Class M. She is also the dam of the State & Verband Premium mare Schwalbenfreude by Sir Shosto xx (presently a broodmare at the Singing Stud in England) & of Seargent Pepper (by Exclusiv) who has been shown successfully in dressage classes up to Intermediare-I under his rider Karin Lührs. Schamar is also a maternal half-sister to the approved Stallions Schwadroneur, Showmaster, Sans Soucis & Stradivari. The mare family of Schwarze Schwalbe has been a proven one & at home at Gestuet Haemelschenburg.

He is very easy & safe to work with. He is correct with nice gaits, a nice romp, a good neck & saddle position, with solid, dry legs. He will make an ideal Hunter/Jumper or a Dressage mount for someone not too tall. Presently he is only 15.3 hands. He should top just around 16-16.1h. He is currently in full training & is being backed.
